IPI Pune Chapter organized the Jayvee Organics and Fine Organics Joint Endowment Lecture on 23rd March 2010. The topic of the lecture was “Additives : Corner Stone for Polymer Performance”. The lecture was delivered by Dr. R. S. Basargekar, GM Technical, Reliance Industries Ltd., Mumbai. This was attended by more than 65 persons from local industries, institutes and research organizations. Amongst the prominent personalities, Mr. S. K. Kadakia, Mr. Francis Pinto, Dr. P. D. Trivedi, Mr. J. R. Shah, Mr. Mukesh Shah and Mr. Raman Patel were present. In the welcome address, Mr.Pinto gave a brief account of IPI and its activities while Dr. P. D. Trivedi described the endowment programs associated with IPI. During the lecture, Dr. R. S. Basargekar reviewed the importance of additives for improving the polymer life, its usage and its properties. He highlighted the latest developments in this field and current ongoing activities in developing new additives both in India and abroad. The event was conducted by Dr. Milind Mhalgi, Vice chairman and Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, Chairman IPI Pune Chapter proposed the vote of thanks.
